Select The Year Of Your Vehicle Below

A full-size car that stands the test of time, redesign, and even discontinuation, says something. It all but says not only "endurance," but "legacy." The Buick Roadmaster said, and left for posterity, just that. It ran from 1936 to 1958, and once again from 1991 to 1996. Between 1946 and 1957, it held top honors at Buick as the marque's flagship sedan. In 1947, a station wagon to last with the best of them was introduced. By 1991, and through 1996, Roadmaster would occupy the position of largest Buick vehicle, with 1992 seeing the line offer the first rear-wheel drive sedan from the brand the since 1985. With ample sedans in the lineup and growing interest in full-size SUVs, car and wagon alike would be discontinued after 1996. This marked the unfortunate decline of the full-size station wagon in North America, one not reversed until 2005. However, it wouldn't dim Roadmaster history.

In its final model year, the Buick Roadmaster featured a 5.7-liter V8 engine that paired to a four-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Standard amenities included anti-lock brakes, power steering, dual air bags, AM/FM stereo with cassette and CD player, electronically controlled air conditioning, power windows, and power front seats.
